Wireless Settings

Allows you to change the settings for your wireless network.

NOTE! Most settings on the Wireless Settings page require a reboot of the unit to be activated!
After you have configured the wireless settings make sure you save your changes permanently and reboot the unit by clicking Save & Reboot before you attempt to use the wireless connection.
Changing some of the settings also require removal of the old entry from your PC's "Preferred Wireless Networks" list!

Common settings
These settings are general and affect all Access Points listed below.

Wireless enabled - When disabled wireless transmitter is switched off, thus no wireless connections on either AIR, AIR2 nor AIR3 are possible.
NOTE! When disabling transmitter unmark checkbox, and click Save & Reboot to restart the unit!
Café Mode - When enabled, wireless clients can't see or communicate with each other.
Channel - Assign the desired channel. The clients will automatically detect this channel. Automatic means that the channel with the least activity is used (only changed on reboot or "Apply"). NOTE: Disable the wireless transmitter before changing channel to allow connected clients detect the change.
Wireless Mode - Select which mode you want the driver to operate in
Country - Select the country in which the wireless network exists. NB! You must comply with the laws of the country the unit will operate in. By selecting country, you cannot select any options that are against the law in that country.

AIR / AIR2 / AIR3
This unit can be a virtual access point for up to three different wireless networks: AIR, AIR2 and AIR3.
The three virtual access points can have different network names, encryptions, etc.
Select which virtual access point to view / alter settings for by clicking on the according AIR, AIR2 or AIR3 tab.
NOTE! Press "Apply" after your settings, before switching tabs!

Enabled - Activate this virtual access point, thus transmit beacon signal and allow wireless clients to connect.
NOTE! Only AIR2 and AIR3 can be disabled, not AIR. To disable all three virtual access points uncheck the Transmitter enabled checkbox above.
Network Name (SSID) - Assign the Service Set Identifier (SSID). All wireless clients on the same network must use this SSID. The SSID can have up to 32 characters.
Security - Enable Encryption. Choose if you want to use WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key), WPA2-PSK (strongest security) or unencrypted. WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK encrypts and decrypts data between wireless devices. WPA-PSK uses TKIP for encryption and WPA2-PSK uses AES. (NOTE! Extreme security risk! Do not disable encryption - your network will be extremely vulnerable without encryption!)
WPA-PSK Passphrase - Enter the passphrase (i.e. a sentence or similar) as your PSK (Pre-Shared Key) for WPA and WPA2. NB! 8-63 characters.
WEP First select which authentication method you want. Open System equals no authentication whilst Shared Key enables authentication. The mixed mode allow the clients to choose. Next select if you want 64 bit key size or 128 bit key size. Select if you want to use Passphrase or manual key.
The passphrase can be any sentence you want, but the phrase must be minimum 8 characters long and maximum 63 characters. Please note that most Microsoft Windows operating systems do not support WEP passphrases - use WEP key instead.
The key is 10 or 26 hexadecimal digits for a 64 or 128 bit key. The key can be any hexadecimal value (i.e. the characters 0123456789abcdefABCDEF) of your choice.
All clients on the network must use the same key or Passphrase.
Closed System - With this set, clients cannot "easily" obtain the SSID. It also makes it impossible for clients with an unspecified SSID to connect.
Access Control - also known as MAC address filtering, is an additional security measurement. With access control you are able to select which wireless clients you want to grant connection. Each client has a unique MAC address (physical address). When access control is enabled only clients with an address that matches the one you have entered are able to connect.
Allowed Clients - Populate the clients (MAC addresses) you want to grant access. The MAC address must be in the format of six hexadecimal numbers (0-9, A-F) separated by a '-' e.g. 00-AB-12-CD-34-EF.
Connected clients - List of clients that are currently connected. Click "Add" to add the MAC address to the list of allowed clients.
